Where am I from originally?  Australia and New Guinea

What’s for dinner?  A variety of raw meat

Fun fact:  Monitors have a forked tongue

 

There are many types of monitors from around the world, including the Komodo Monitor, also known as the Komodo Dragon.  Slash is a male Argus Monitor, is approximately 5 feet long and weighs around 23 pounds.  Monitors are extremely agile and have been known to sprint long distances to avoid predators.  They are also have huge appetites, spending much of their time in search of food.  Slash can only be handled by an experienced trainer, but is still a popular attraction at our programs.
